Daniel Marinescu

Dr. Daniel Marinescu received his medical degree from McGill University and completed residency training in Internal Medicine and Respirology at the University of Toronto. He subsequently completed a 2-year fellowship in interstitial lung disease and Master of Health Science at the University of British Columbia, with a focus in epidemiology and clinical research. He works at the Centre for Lung Health and Vancouver General Hospital.

Dr. Marinescu’s research focuses on the use of CT imaging in the diagnosis and treatment of interstitial lung disease. He has led a project evaluating CT features and patterns in over 1,500 patients in CARE-PF, which has helped improve understanding of classification and outcomes in this heterogeneous disease.
